In How to Get Into the Top Law Schools, Richard Montauk delivers just
what the title promises. Of course, there is no substitute for a good
GPA, stellar LSAT score, and raving recommendations, in terms of
getting noticed in a stack of applications. Still, this book tells you
how to manage the entire application process to make the most of all
its components; it contains advice on applications themselves,
recommendations, LSAT prep, fixing a poor academic record, contacting
admissions officers, personal statements, and much, much more.
I used much of the information Montauk offers, and can testify that it
played an important role in gaining admission and scholarship offers at
most of the top 10 law schools. This is a must-read for law school
applicants.
