These products really aren't comparable, especially given that WinDirStat is free and Directory Report is not.

Ed, how long did it take WinDirStat to scan 1.1 million files?
You should try Directory Report
<a href="http://www.file-utilities.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.file-utilities.com</a>
It is faster than WinDirStat

That is pretty impressive. I think the most important piece of hardware for her to learn to appreciate is the delete key. I wonder how many hours it took her to clean it up?

Topical:

One of my coworkers needed help this week deleting emails. Her computer kept locking up. When I walked around to her desk I saw her inbox had over 25,000 emails in it. Familiarity with Outlook will make you say "No, she 25,000 unread emails." Not including emails in the Sent Items folder. When I gasped at the sheer enormity of the number she said "I've got it down to about half of what it was." Another person was already helping her with this task. A brief explanation of RAM, and how it relates to performance when deleting thousands of emails at a time, was given.

She hadn't ever deleted an email while working here.

Oof. Sorry, man. I am not an Eclipse guru, but that's by choice. I know just enough about it to run away, but it sounds like you are being forced to deal with it for work or something. Good luck with that!

If you want to start hating it I suggest you start coding it in Eclipse, and make sure everything is a package, that needs multiple dependencies run before you can look at anything in preview. Sigh.

This is interesting, and far more useful than the dumb translation tools we have now.

For example, I love the game Gaplus, a somewhat rare game from the classic age of Arcades.

http://kani.ninpou.jp/gaplus/gaplus.htm

Only a fraction of this is useful.

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=ja&tl=en&twu=1&u=http://kani.ninpou.jp/gaplus/gaplus.htm&usg=ALkJrhg7O4KwUWfh1cCE0TJqRsz93R15tA

An unknown portion of the text that doesn't make any sense isn't even close to being accurate even if it was coherent.

Lucky for me the guy who sits next to me at work lived in Japan for several years and can translate Japanese.
