I love the outdoors and there is nowhere I'd rather be, most of the time. God has truly blessed us with his creation, and it's a shame we don't spend more time enjoying it.
Part of me will always live at HoME, better known as Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scout High Adventure Base in Cimarron, NM. I hiked there one summer (1996) and was privileged to be on staff there for the next two (1997-1998); many of my favorite memories are there, and New Mexico will always feel like home.
More recently, I climbed Mt. Rainier, in July 2006. Other places I love (and of which I will hopefully have pictures up soon):
Go outside and enjoy it! Our world is a beautiful place, if we would only stop an look at it from time to time...
"New Mexico rain, when it's hot down in Texas
New Mexico rain - and I call this my home!
If I ain't happy here, I ain't happy nowhere.
New Mexico rain, when my mind starts to roam."
- Michael Hearne, "New Mexico Rain"

Quote of the Picosecond:
"Most papers in computer science describe how their author learned what someone else already knew."
-Peter Landin,
