Rejected!

I got rejected by Vanderbilt’s sociology department, today. It came by e-mail - ouch. I’m not really surprised, though - these departments have around 4% acceptance rates, since the applicant/faculty ratio is sky-high. Oh, well.

Both programs must be pro-active (as opposed to the kind that tell you, “Oh, by the way, you’re now screwed.”). JSP is evil.

Java Server Pages are evil, particularly when used for simple websites. I say this because a client has a 7-page site, that was developed in JSP. Why? JSP is the only language the developer knew. Of course, said developer knows nothing about installing/deploying/running JSP webapps. Geez.
